Three workers were struck by a CN freight train on Tuesday afternoon. The accident took place on the service road between Wilson Ave. and Price St. in Mobile, Alabama.
One of the victims, Dexter Earl Scott, died as a result of his his injuries. Two additional victims were transported to a local hospital but their conditions are unknown at this time.
Mayor Jimmie Gardner issued a statement on Tuesday evening that said, in part, “We mourn the death of a person killed here in Prichard. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the family of the victim.”
