October 21, 2020: Train Hits Semi Two Days in a Row

For the second day in a row, first responders are cleaning up a wreck involving a Norfolk Southern freight train and a semi truck.
Both incidents took place at the same intersection of S. State Line Road and Railroad Street at the Indiana and Ohio state line. There were no injuries reported during either incident.
Both trucks got caught on the tracks as they attempted to cross the road. The increased ruck activity in the area is a result of US 24 being closed due to an earlier accident. Trucks are forced to detour on the back roads until US 24 reopens.
