The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management has confirmed that a tanker truck hauling sulfuric acid broke apart following a rear-end collision Tuesday morning on Highway 67 in Lonoke County, Arkansas.
Lonoke County officials have confirmed the accident caused the tanker to spill 2,600 gallons of sulfuric acid into a small creek nearby but there is no concern about the spill flowing into another body of water.
