A Union Pacific train derailed near Eau Claire, Wisconsin on Sunday afternoon. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the derailment and state transportation officials said all lanes of Highway 12 and County Q are still closed.
The train was heading east when a total of 35 cars derailed, causing 18 of them to pileup along the tracks. The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office stated that no injuries were reported and no hazardous materials were released during the incident.
