PHMSA, in coordination with FRA, has proposed changes to the Hazardous Materials Regulations that would permit the bulk transportation of Methane, refrigerated liquid in DOT-113C120W specification rail tank cars. Methane, refrigerated liquid is commonly known as liquified natural gas (LNG).
Interested parties may submit comments on the proposed rule until December 23, 2019. All comments must include the agency name and docket number.
