The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration published interim final rules addressing the limitations on the issuance of commercial drivers licenses with hazardous materials endorsement in 2003 and 2005.
FMCSA received over 50 comments during the 2003 comment period but did not receive any during the 2005 comment period. The agency has now decided to adopt the provisions listed in the interim final rule and has reopened the comment period. Interested parties may submit comments on the IFR until December 19, 2018.
