July 19, 2018: Two Pedestrians Struck and Killed by CSX Train in Maryland

A CSX train in Germantown Maryland struck and killed two women who were trespassing on the railroad tracks. The accident occurred around 8:30 pm on Wednesday evening. The engineer saw the women and sounded the train’s horn while applying the brakes. Unfortunately, the train was not able to stop in time and both women were struck and killed. Montgomery County police are currently investigating the accident and have not determined why they were on the tracks last night.
