The Office of Hazardous Materials Safety received eight applications for special permits. The majority of the special permit requests were for cargo aircraft. They included items such as explosives, lithium ion batteries, and anhydrous ammonia.
Interested parties may submit comments on any of the applications until August 10, 2017.
