The 56th meeting of the Railroad Safety Advisory Committee (RSAC) will be held on September 15, 2016. The purpose of RSAC is to develop railroad safety regulations using a consensus process.
Topics that will be covered during this meeting will include remote control locomotives, track standards, hazardous materials, rail integrity working groups, and status reports from the engineering task force. Additional presentations will be given on a variety of topics including the status of PTC implementation, high-speed passenger rail equipment, maintenance of way, and certification of dispatchers and signal maintainers.
