HM Registration fees go to fund the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration’s (PHMSA’s) HazMat Emergency Preparedness Grant Program (HMEP). There are some unused funds in this account so for registration year 2013-2014 (7/1/2013-6/30/2014), PHMSA is reducing the fees by 50%.The final cost will be: (1) for a small business or non-profit – $125 plus $25 processing fee or (2) for all other businesses – $1,300 plus $25 processing fee. You will receive a refund for the difference if you paid this year’s registration in advance at the higher rate. As of 7/1/2014 the fees will revert to their original amounts ($250 or $2,600 plus $25 processing).
